Before your laser surgery

The days preceding the surgery, some steps are important and must be followed to obtain an adequate preparation and optimize the results of laser surgery.

Port of contact lenses :

Do not wear your contact lenses for the following periods before your surgery, depending on the type of lenses:

• Soft: 1 week
• Toric : 2 weeks
• Extended wear : 2 weeks
• Gas permeable: at least 3-4 weeks
• Rigid: at least one month

Cleaning of the lids and the lashes

The eyelashes and the eyelids must be cleaned with the Lid-Care product (given to you at the clinic?) 3 nights before the surgery.

Makeup

Make-up should be thoroughly removed the night before the operation.

Planning of the payment

Total amount is payable the day of surgery.
We accept:

• Certified Cheque**
• Funding***

* Usual maximum approved debit on a debit card is 1000$. Please take the necessary steps with your banking institution to approve full amount of your surgery.

** We can not accept uncertified checks. Certified checks should be made to the attention of Dr. Marc Mullie or Dr. Gordon Balazsi.

*** Financing is available but must be arranged a few days in advance.

Preparation of the Consent Form

The consent form must be read, understood, signed and dated before coming to the clinic. Please call us if you have any questions regarding the document before the date of your surgery.

Planning of the transportation return

After the surgery, driving or taking public transportation will not be possible. We recommend you be accompanied, or take a taxi.
